In an action brought by the New York State Attorney General (“NYAG”), the New York State Supreme Court has awarded monetary judgments of $680,990,038 million against Northern Leasing Systems, Inc., Lease Finance Group LLC, MBF Leasing LLC, Lease Source-LSI, LLC a/k/a Lease Source Inc., Golden Eagle Leasing LLC, Pushpin Holdings LLC and related individuals (the “Northern Leasing entities”), and $9,303,157.77 million against the firm of Joseph I. Sussman P.C., and certain of its attorneys. The Court found that the Northern Leasing entities violated New York State law by engaging in deceptive business practices when leasing credit card equipment to small business owners nationwide. All Respondents have appealed these monetary awards, and these appeals are currently pending.
If you have been contacted by email or physical mail regarding this matter, the companies’ records show that you may have leased equipment from and made a lease payment to a Northern Leasing entity after April 2013.
Please note that no funds are available to distribute at this time, and the total amount of funds, if any, that will be available is currently unknown.
